Every nation, society, and religion has its own traditions and customs about what a ceremony may glance like because it is an important occasion. The Balkan are no different, and when it comes to their wedding bosnian mail order bride customs, they have some very intriguing ones. Marriages are typically seen as an occasion to celebrate enjoy, a few getting married, and starting over. They were a special occasion that brought up two families and an entire area, but they used to be much more than that. They were therefore a crucial part of our lives because of that.

Previously the bride and groom were formally engaged, the preparation for a bride did begin. There were some superstitions that had to be followed when it was day for the bride to enter the couple’s residence. For instance, in some Bulgarian areas, it was customary for godparents to suspend a particular flag at the bride’s home after thoroughly discarding it to protect the newlyweds from negative magic and evil influences. The symbol was sewn with red or green threads and hung at both the groom and bride homes.

There might also be different superstitions, depending on the area. For instance, in Montenegro, the newlyweds were required to move over a doormat that had been covered in blade because this was supposed to guarantee that they would have boys. Additionally, it was common practice in Kosovo for the wife to kiss guy off of her mother-in-law’s forearm. This was intended to keep the two’s interactions calm and guarantee their happiness and prosperity.

There would be a lot of dancing and ridiculous fun following the civil and religious service. Folks enjoyed sipping rakia to savor the happiness of marriage. And even though celebrations these days are more about the couple than the bash and drinking, they are nonetheless a happy occasion for everyone who attends.
